Iranian graduate students become familiar with UN, UN in Iran and UNIC Websites

UNIC Reference Assistant Ms. Nazanin Ghaemmaghami-Farahani and some graduate
students of international law from different universities in Tehran and across the country

In line with UNIC policy which is connecting the UN with the people it serves, UNIC-Tehran with cooperation of Iranian Association of UN Studies holds a series of workshop to broaden the UN knowledge of intellectuals, students and researchers.

Tehran and across the country

A two-session workshop on this series was held on 3 and 10 February 2014 with the participation of some 30 graduate students of international law from different universities in Tehran and across the country. UNIC Reference Assistant Nazanin Ghaemmaghami addressed them on how to retrieve UN documentation and information from UN, UN in Iran and UNIC websites and on the Dag Hammarskjold Library’s (DHL) web page at the UN Conference Room and at UNIC-Tehran’s library.

Tehran and across the country

Ms. Ghaemmaghami elaborated on basic UN facts and gave an overview of important information-searching tools located through DHL resources and databases, including the United Nations Bibliographic Information System, Official Document System and UN Info Quest, press releases as well as OHCHR website.
